Clare Stringer D.C. (MChiro) PDAC SMT ESMT (Dip)
Doctor of Chiropractic, Principal Chiropractor
Clare first became aware of chiropractic for humans in her teenage years when she received care for back pain, and of animal care when one of the family's gundogs received care for nerve damage after putting his leg into a rabbit hole when running, which saved him from rapidly deteriorating damage, extensive pain and immobility. Following this her horses had regular chiropractic care which helped them to keep in their best physical condition while competing. These combined sparked an interest for her to undertake this as a career, so that she could help to improve the lives of others, as she had experienced herself thanks to the care of Thomasina Spilman and Emma Overend.
Clare studied at McTimoney College of Chiropractic, graduating with a Masters degree in 2019. She also completed her diploma in Sports Massage Therapy for humans in 2015 and uses this alongside chiropractic to ensure that her patients receive a high standard of care.
In 2021 Clare added animal care to her services following the completion of her diploma as a postgraduate in Equine Sports Massage Therapy with Equi-Therapy UK and a postgraduate diploma in Animal Chiropractic with Options For Animals UK. She chose to undertake further competency exams which she passed, enabling her to be accepted by the British and International's Veterinary Chiropractic Associations.
Clare is a passionate horsewoman with a history of working in the equine industry as Head Girl for professional event riders and for the incredible Massarella family at Louella Stud, as well as owning her own horses since a young age. She has competed up to Novice level with BE, 1m20 showjumping and Elementary dressage, producing her horses from scratch. This background helps her understand some of the pressures and demands upon competition horses and their riders. She also successfully trained and competed gundogs during her teenage years before the horses took over her time, and through her parents (Clancallum Gundogs) has a wealth of experience with them due to their worldwide involvement as A panel judges and renowned trainers. Again, this helps Clare to understand some of the pressures and demands placed on working dogs and their owners.
Clare is fully insured and registered with the General Chiropractic Council, the Royal College of Chiropractors and the McTimoney Chiropractic Association.
She also undertakes CPD every year which enables her to add to her knowledge and extend this into her human and animal practices.
